Actuate Tips - Fixing the MRO Report Templates for Maximo 5.2
 MRO Report Templates
 Report Parameters
 Reuse Report Sections

When Actuate changed versions from version 6 (Maximo 5.1) to version 7 (Maximo 5.2 ), the MRO report templates were not updated to the new version. Updating the templates will remove the need to individually update each report generated from the template.

Using Actuate 7, open the template mroPortrait.rod file. The templates are typically found in C:\Program Files\Actuate7\Source\Custom\config folder. Ignore the message about the file format being old. This will be fixed when the file is saved.

Fix 1 - Using the menu item "Tools/Parameters", add 2 global parameters. The first is called iServerURL, and the second is called localTZ. Both are of type String, both belong in the Global Vars category, and both are hidden. See the MRO doc id M03746 for more info.

Fix 2 - Use the menu item "View/Global Browser". Expand the Symbols and the Class NewReportApp sections. Select and delete the last two items, "Class WORKORDERDESCRIPTION", and "Class WORKORDERWONUM" These 2 values are responsible for the Undefined data row messages below.

Time Saver - While the Parameter Editor is open, enter default values for the mroOrg, mroSite, and schema parameters.

If there are other changes that all future reports should have, add those changes now.

Save the report. Now all reports generated from the template will have the modifications made above.

Do the same to the other template reports. See the MRO document ID M03803 for required changes to the request page template.
